The push for decentralization stems from Tompolo and his Tantita group's human rights abuses against the Niger Delta people. We believe the federal government will eventually decentralize the pipeline surveillance contracts, currently held by Tantita, Maton Engineering, and PINL, to include other Niger Delta stakeholders. This shift will promote fairness, justice, and inclusiveness, crucial for regional peace and security.
Tompolo and his gang will face possible imprisonment for human rights abuses, including running a private prison, kidnapping, and murder. Tantita Security Services has operated this prison for years, despite protests, he is still running the prison which has now been shifted from Oporoza to Krutia in Gbaramatu. Tompolo is also holding Karowei Balamene hostage, while Charles Korubo, kidnapped on his orders.
The families of Karowei Balamene and Charles Korubo have shared their stories online, revealing how Tompolo's men kidnapped their loved ones. A video shows one Ezekiel Daniel naming Joshua Maciver for Charles Korubo’s abduction and torture. ( Watch Ezekiel' video Link ; https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1aBwF1kTUU/ ) Other videos expose Tompolo's Tantita Security staff beheading Niger Delta people in brutal acts.
A troubling aspect of these crimes is the involvement of government security officers aiding Tompolo’s Tantita Security Services in abductions. Despite petitions to the National Security Adviser, DSS, and the Presidency, no action has been taken. This failure, with the complicity of officers threatens national security.
Some may question if Boyloaf has empowered his followers, but the real issue is how little Tompolo did for the people before his Tantita security contract. Boyloaf made Amnesty possible in the Niger Delta region, benefiting many, including Tompolo. If Tompolo truly cared for the Ijaw people, why would he run a private prison, kidnap, and kill them? If given more chance, Boyloaf would likely do far better than Tompolo, who is involved in harming his own people.
At a time, high-level meeting was held by Former National Security Adviser Major General Monguno, with key figures like Shoot-at-Sight, General Boyloaf, and Amnesty Boss, Col. Milland Dixon Dikio (Rtd). The discussion focused on pipeline surveillance under the Amnesty Program. Shoot-at-Sight and others urged the government to stop chasing Tompolo and let him join the security contracts, believing in fairness, not because they couldn’t handle the job themselves.
In another meeting, General Boyloaf, Joshua Maciver, and others met with former DSS Director of Operations during the term of Former DSS DG, to discuss how surveillance contracts were given to politicians instead of ex-agitators who know the region. The push for decentralization, ongoing since the Buhari administration, aims to ensure security, fair economic distribution, and prevent power concentration.
Many have suggested that Boyloaf ask the government for an oil bloc, but he's focused on securing offshore security jobs to boost oil production. He even submitted a proposal to National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu and met with him. However, the proposal leaked to Mele Kyari, Matthew Tonlagha, Tompolo, and Heineken Lokpobiri, who blocked it. Knowing Boyloaf's ability to address offshore challenges, they worked hard to discredit him to the NSA, fearing that his success would disrupt their activities offshore.
Let’s look at the current situation: when the pipeline surveillance was approved in the Niger Delta, a committee from the NSA office was sent to meet with the big five and other stakeholders. Everyone was visited—except for Boyloaf. Tompolo made sure they didn’t visit him, trying to undermine Boyloaf’s efforts in the Niger Delta struggle.
Once again, Shoot-at-Sight convinced Boyloaf to meet Tompolo in Oporoza, where they had a productive discussion about the way forward. But after Boyloaf left, Tompolo was advised not to work with him, and Boyloaf was cut off from the surveillance job. Despite the betrayal, Boyloaf remained silent while Tompolo spread lies to the government, claiming Boyloaf was part of the contracts and to the public, Boyloaf wanted the money without doing the work.
Pastor Reuben Wilson, we understand your position, given the benefits you’re receiving from Tompolo and your reluctance to confront the truth. However, don’t forget the role Boyloaf played in your life during the Niger Delta struggle.
Age John is shameful; a man who had no arms to submit during the disarmament yet received weapons from General Boyloaf to become a General, only to now speak ill of him.
Udengs Eradiri is another opportunist, driven by personal gain. He criticizes Boyloaf for not helping his boys, yet Boyloaf gave him the position of SA Youth on NDDC, even though Udengs never showed any gratitude. He’s willing to oppose anything that could bring progress to Bayelsa, as long as he gets paid.
It is unfortunate that many of us in the Niger Delta can no longer stand by the truth. Everyone now runs after cash, even some so-called elders who once commanded respect. They no longer care about the people but only about their own pockets. None of them have spoken out about Tompolo’s private prison, his kidnapping of our people, or the killings of innocent people. But when it comes to their own stomachs, they are quick to support one side in exchange for money.
The Federal Government should exclude Tompolo’s Tantita Security Services from the decentralization of pipeline surveillance contracts due to their well-documented criminal activities, including operating a private prison, human trafficking, and murder. We are committed to holding Tompolo and his associates accountable, using every legal avenue to ensure they face justice, whether under Nigerian law or internationally, for the suffering they have caused.
